Barn in Red and Blue (framed)
  • Barn in Red and Blue (framed)

An artist friend asked me if I wanted to go with her on a photoshoot along a back country road. I was happy to, as fall is a great time to get reference photos. We came along this aging barn at the perfect time of day - the shadows were striking blue which played so beautifully with the old red roof. Shortly after painting this piece, I found out that the barn was torn down, making this a kind of memorial to fading beauty.
